This happy client ran a full-page ad in the Winter 2021 issue of Whippet Review featuring Darlene’s drawing of “Ariel”, and promoting her artwork writing: I’ve seen pretty much all the art collection of the American Kennel Club, at their museum of the dog, the NYC headquarters, and the operating headquarters in Raleigh NC that houses the Shearer collection of whippet drawings. “Ariel” is the BEST!!The copy with the ad reads: In hyper-realist style, Darlene uses pencils to bring the most detail possible out of an image. She creates a unique gift of lasting memory when photo snapshots become artwork on the wall. Darlene feels it is an honor to capture the sighthound essence and to give owners a timeless image to have forever.
